Bicycle bus

Bicyclists have been offered the possibility to travel with their bikes between Öland and the mainland since 1995. Between April 4th to june 18th and August 29th until October 1st, they can bring their bikes on a bus ride from Öland or Kalmar.

The bus stops at Träffpunkt Öland and on the mainland at Trafikplats Jutnabben.

The bike bus is an ordinary bus equipped with a trailer for the bikes. The trailer holds a maximum of 20 bikes.

The bike owner is responsible for putting his or her bike in the trailer and fastening it properly.

Tickets can only be purchased on the bus. The price is 20 SEK, bike included. KLT’s travel cards and other tickets that are valid for the line are also applicable.

The bike bus is part of the regular public transportation system (as Line 408). That means that the bus can bring other passengers besides bicyclists.

The trip across the bridge takes approximately 15 minutes.
